This is finely ground wheat. The diameter of semolina grains is approximately 0.25-0.75 mm. The color can vary from almost white to slightly yellowish. Semolina cooks quickly and is well absorbed by the body. Semolina contains fast carbohydrates, starch, proteins, vitamins E and B, as well as calcium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, sodium and a large amount of gluten. Contains minimal amount of fiber. Semolina fills the body with energy, restores physical strength, helps cleanse the body and remove fats and harmful substances. Mainly porridge is cooked from semolina, to which butter, various fruits, honey and jam are added. Semolina is also used for making creams; pies, pancakes, puddings and casseroles are made from it. Semolina is often added to soups and sauces to add thickness and viscosity, used for sprinkling baked goods.
