Directions

  1. For the dough: grind the oatmeal until it becomes flour.
  2. Transfer to a bowl, add the flour, baking powder and mix.
  3. Add the almond paste, the butter at room temperature and pour in the milk. Mix then form a ball.
  4. Roll out 2/3 of the dough into a 23 cm diameter pan, building up 2 cm high edges. Bake for 5 minutes at 180°C.
  5. For the filling, mix the berries (we have a mix of strawberries and red currants) with the sugar and corn starch.
  6. Add it over the crust and firm up the remaining dough.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for another 40 minutes.
  8. Remove and let the cake cool completely and serve with pleasure.
  9. Enjoy your meal.
