    250 ml

    150 g
  • Baking powder
    1 tsp
  • Baking soda
    1 tsp
  • Vanilla Extract
    1 tsp
  • Chicken egg

  • Walnuts
    60 g
  • Dark chocolate
    60 g

Directions

  1. Put the pitted dates into a bowl and pour the hot milk over them. Cover and let them soak for 20 minutes.
  2. After they have softened, blend the dates together with the milk until you get a smooth puree. Add the eggs, chopped nuts, and chocolate chips, then mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder and baking soda. Incorporate the dry ingredients into the date mixture, folding gently until well combined.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and gently stir. Pour the batter into a loaf pan lined with parchment paper or lightly greased with a bit of oil.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven at 180°C for 35–40 minutes, until it passes the toothpick test. Let the cake cool completely before slicing. Enjoy!
