We start by preparing the filling:
Mix condensed milk, coconut flakes and butter in a pan.
We cook the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly until it becomes thicker and can be modeled. This is the moment when you form balls from the composition, which we will put on the drunkards.
We put in the freezer for about 30 minutes, to strengthen a little.
Meanwhile, we prepare the caramel: in a saucepan, combine water, lemon juice and sugar.
Mix until the sugar is completely dissolved and let it boil over medium heat until it has a golden color, similar to the caramel.
The caramel strengthens quickly, so it is important to work quickly. We soak the balls in the refrigerator in the caramel syrup and let them strengthen for a few minutes.
The result will be an amazing combination: crunchy caramel balls with a soft and delicious condensed and coconut milk, perfect to impress at any occasion!
