Directions

  1. Clean the pears, cut in half lengthwise, and remove the seeds.
  2. Melt in a 20 cm diameter pan: the sugar together with the cinnamon and the vanilla seeds until obtain a golden color.
  3. Add room temperature butter, mix vigorously until combined with the caramel. Place the pears over the caramel.
  4. For the dough: beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the melted and cooled butter, sift the flour with the baking powder, mix until the ingredients bind.
  6. Pour the batter over the pears and bake for 60 minutes at 170°C.
  7. Remove the cake from the pan, place it on a plate, and serve it with ice cream if desired. Enjoy!
