Tender chicken served with a creamy mushroom sauce, Dijon mustard and fragrant thyme. An easy yet elegant recipe for lunch or dinner.

  • Chicken Breast
    250 g
  • Salt
    4 g
  • Black Pepper
    to taste
  • Oil
    25 ml

For the sauce:

  • Сhampignon mushrooms
    215 g
  • Onion
    50 g
  • Garlic
    10 g
  • White dry wine
    80 ml
  • Water
    100 ml
  • Thyme
    4 g
  • Mustard
    10 g
  • Single Cream (Light Cream) Căsuța Mea 20%
    80 ml
  • Salt
    to taste
  • Black Pepper
    to taste

Directions

  1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the meat for about 3 minutes on each side, until it develops a golden crust.
  2. Take the chicken out onto a plate.
  3. In the same pan, add the mushrooms and cook them for 3 minutes, until they soften slightly.
  4. Add the chopped onion and cook for another 2 minutes, then add the chopped garlic and sauté it for about 30 seconds, being careful not to burn it.
  5. Pour the white wine and let it simmer until the alcohol evaporates.
  6. Add the water, thyme, salt, and pepper, then cook for another minute.
  7. Pour the cooking cream, add the Dijon mustard, and mix well. Let the sauce simmer over low heat until it slightly thickens.
  8. Put the chicken back into the pan and cook for another 5–7 minutes, until it is fully cooked through and coated in the creamy sauce.
  9. Serve the hot chicken alongside the creamy mushroom sauce. Enjoy! 🍽
