Directions

  1. Mix 500 gr of sour cherries without stems and pits.
  2. In a bowl, mix together: flour, powdered sugar, baking powder and salt. Add the very cold cubed butter, sour cream and mix with your fingers until you get a sandy dough.
  3. Form a ball, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  4. Drain the cherry juice through a sieve.
  5. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll it into a rectangular shape, cut into 6 cm strips, add cherries to each strip and seal the edges.
  6. Transfer the strips to a 23-24 cm diameter pan, lined with baking paper at the base, and bake for 30 minutes at 180 °C.
  7. Remove, cool slightly and sprinkle with powdered sugar, then enjoy. Bon appetit.
