Cut the potatoes into thin slices, leaving some space at the bottom.
Transfer the potatoes into a baking dish, season with salt, oregano, and black pepper to taste, add the crushed garlic and sprigs of rosemary, mix everything, turn the potatoes cut side up, and bake for 40 minutes at 230°C.
Take the potatoes out of the oven, brush them with melted butter, return them to the oven, and bake for another 40 minutes (or until the potatoes are golden and crispy).
