Directions

  1. In a saucepan, put the sugar, butter and honey.
  2. Place over medium heat, stirring periodically until the sugar melts.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl, add the baking soda, mix for 1 minute with a whisk, gradually add one egg at a time,
  4. Finally, we incorporate the flour.
  5. Mix with a spatula then continue kneading.
  6. Roll out the dough, divide it into 12 equal parts, each piece should weigh 80 gr.
  7. Form balls by slightly flattening them, cover with plastic wrap.
  8. Spread each ball on a baking sheet, forming a circle with a diagonal of 19 cm, we cut the dough all around.
  9. Prick in places with a fork.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 5 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Proceed in the same way with the rest of the balls.
  12. Remove the excess dough, but we definitely keep it for decoration.
  13. Let the cake sheets cool completely.
  14. Meanwhile, we prepare the sour cream frosting.
  15. In a bowl, add: our 30% fat sour cream, pour in the vanilla essence and lemon juice.
  16. Mix for 1 minute, then gradually add the powdered sugar.
  17. On a plate, add 1 tablespoon of cream, and add baking paper on the sides to avoid getting the plate dirty.
  18. Add one sheet of cake, add 2 tablespoons of cream on top, spread lightly over the entire surface.
  19. Proceed the same way with all the sheets.
  20. Finally, spread the remaining cream over the entire surface and edges.
  21. In a food processor, add the walnuts and the remaining pieces of puff pastry, and blend until finely chopped.
  22. Decorate the cake, both the surface and the sides, with the crumbs received + nuts for decoration.
  23. Remove the baking paper and put the cake in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.
  24. This cake will win you over with its light ingredients and pleasant, delicious taste.
