A soft and fluffy strawberry cake, full of flavor and perfect as a comforting homemade dessert.

  • Sugar
    100 g
  • Vanilla Sugar
    1 pc
  • Kefir Căsuța Mea — kefir with probiotics and yogurt cultures
    50 g
  • Oil
    80 g
  • Flour
    170 g
  • Baking powder
    2 tsp
  • Strawberry
    250 g
  • Cornstarch
    1 tsp

Directions

  1. Place the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
  2. Whisk until the mixture becomes light and slightly fluffy.
  3. Add the oil and kefir, then incorporate the flour mixed with baking powder
  4. Mix until smooth, without lumps.
  5. In another bowl, toss the strawberries with cornstarch.
  6. Gently fold the strawberries into the batter.
  7. Pour the mixture into a 21 cm round baking tin lined with baking paper.
  8. Bake at 180°C for about 45 minutes, until it passes the toothpick test.
  9. Let it cool for 5 minutes, then remove from the tin. Enjoy!
