Directions

  1. Melt the sugar in a saucepan until it reaches a light brown color.
  2. Pour the boiling water, when the sugar has caramelized, mix vigorously until we obtain a smooth consistency.
  3. Add the butter, stirring until it is completely melted. Then let everything cool down completely.
  4. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the condensed milk, add the flour together with the baking soda, and mix until smooth.
  5. Add the caramel to the batter, mix until we obtain a smooth texture.
  6. Pour the batter into a buttered and floured pan (20-22 cm in diameter). Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  7. Then bake for 55-60 minutes at 180 °C. Let the cake cool for 15 minutes, turn it onto a serving plate, and enjoy. Bon appétit!
