For the dough:
Flour

Directions
For the dough:
In a spacious bowl, knead the dough: add the flour.
In a small bowl, mix the warm milk with the yeast and sugar; set aside for 5 minutes, then add it to the flour.
We mix everything, then add the salt, vanilla essence, and egg, stirring continuously. If the dough is too wet, we add a little more flour.
We add the softened butter and knead until the dough becomes non-sticky. Once kneaded, we let it rise, covered, for about 2 hours in a warm place.
For the filling:
In the meantime, we prepare the filling: we mix all the ingredients until well combined and set aside.
After the dough has risen, we roll it out into a thin sheet (sprinkling flour on the work surface so it doesn't stick).
We place the layer of pistachio cream without pressing too hard, as the ground pistachios can tear the pastry sheet.
We roll slowly and tightly, then transfer the roll into a cake pan (approx. 25x13 cm).
Extra:
We grease the sweet bread with egg, sprinkle a little ground pistachio, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
We bake in the preheated oven at 160°C, for 60–80 minutes, covered with parchment paper throughout the baking process.
After it has baked, we let it rest for a bit, then we carefully slice it and savor it.
