Directions
Place pork or beef ribs in a pot of water. Skim off any foam that appears on the surface.
Add salt to taste and chopped onion.
Let it boil for 35-40 minutes.
Add the chopped cabbage and boil for 10 minutes.
On top, we add the sliced potatoes, the sweet pepper slices, and the grated carrot (mix everything together, let it cook for 5 minutes).
Meanwhile, prepare the topping for the borscht. In a pan, we add lard or oil, tomato paste, and hot pepper to taste. Fry everything for 3-4 minutes.
In the borscht, we add the pre-cooked beans and the pastry. We boil everything for 4-5 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
Pour in the sour borscht and boil for 1 minute.
Turn off the heat and add chopped herbs. Serve the borscht with sour cream. Enjoy!
