Beat the butter at room temperature with the sugar and vanilla extract.
Add the egg, mix again.
Sift the flour together with the cornstarch, baking powder, and salt.
Mix.
Incorporate the chocolate flakes.
Form the dough, divide it into 2 pieces, shape into cylinders, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Take out the cold dough, cut into 0.5 mm slices, transfer to a baking tray, sprinkle with almonds and bake at 170 °C until golden brown.
Cool and enjoy.
