What refreshing drinks to serve in summer

Along with summer, heat inevitably arrives. And recently, at this time of year, the city resembles the tropics more than the usual temperate zone - so citizens are looking for ways to escape from the scorching sun.
The first, main, and most popular way is to drink plenty of fluids to maintain water balance in the body. Another question is what to drink and in what quantities to quench thirst while not harming health. Let's try together to find the perfect summer drink.

Water

The cheapest, simplest, and most ingenious way to save the body in the heat is to drink water. Moreover, it's recommended to drink still water or non-carbonated mineral water. Water is considered the best drink in hot weather: it refreshes, restores strength, and quickly cools. If you're bored with drinking water, you can add a few slices of lemon and kiwi to the bottle. Voila! The healthiest lemonade is ready! We advise not to add too much lemon to water, as citric acid damages teeth. Also, to avoid getting sick, don't drink water straight from the refrigerator.

Tea

Tea is an excellent alternative to cool refreshing water! Don't worry that tea will make you feel hotter: tea perfectly quenches thirst and restores water balance. It's better, of course, to prefer green tea without sugar. For an interesting taste, you can add lemon balm or mint. By the way, teeth won't darken from such green tea. It's believed that if you drink a liter of green tea per day, the skin will be protected from sunlight. If you need to cheer up, then prefer black tea.

Fermented milk drinks
Fans of fermented milk drinks can rejoice, as liquids such as kefir, ryazhenka, and yogurt are excellent saviors in the heat. Special acids will quench thirst, restore strength, and even lift your mood! You can safely add fruits, berries, and even vegetables to these drinks. By the way, fermented milk drinks are completely absorbed by the human body. It's important that the fat content of the drinks is no more than 1-1.5%.

Fruit drinks, compotes
Made from natural fruits and berries, without adding sugar, compotes perfectly quench thirst. Serve them cool but not too cold. Thanks to the sour taste, thirst is quickly quenched, and vitamin C tones and energizes. Don't add too much sugar trying to make the drink tastier.

Lemonade
It's no secret that lemonade is children's favorite drink in the heat. Especially considering the variety of flavors that manufacturers now offer. However, most adults still rightly believe that if serving lemonade in the heat, then only natural. And it consists of two simple ingredients: water and lemon juice (if desired, you can add pieces of fruit). However, some people believe that even natural lemonade needs sugar or honey added.

Juice
Fruit juice is useful at high air temperatures, as it not only quenches thirst "with taste" but also contains many vitamins. For the best effect, it's recommended to use fresh juices, however, no more than once a day, as such a drink can irritate the stomach lining and sometimes cause gastritis. In addition, natural juices are always saturated with sugars. There's a simple way out of this difficult situation: any juice, whether freshly squeezed or store-bought, can be diluted with water.

Smoothie
Recently, smoothies have become very popular in Moscow cafes and restaurants. (English: smoothie - uniform, soft). These are cocktails made from fermented dairy products and fresh fruits that you can drink and eat at the same time. Often, smoothies are positioned as a complete snack, and people on diets are even recommended to replace one of the main meals with this healthy drink.
In some countries, the classic smoothie recipe has been modified using milk, natural liquid yogurt, or even cream ice cream, which are added instead of juice. Smoothies are called liquid fruits because the composition of the drink is almost equivalent to the composition of fruits. The high popularity of smoothies is associated with the possibility of using completely natural products, the range of which can be limited only by imagination. Smoothies are as healthy as fruits, and when used in a mixture of sour fruits, can have thirst-quenching properties.
