It is a wheat milling product that is created when wheat grains are processed using corrugated cast iron rollers. The grains are relatively large. Semolina is lemon-colored. There is also grits made from corn and rice. Rich in fiber, slow carbohydrates, proteins, contains vitamins B, A, K. Semolina is sometimes confused with farina, but this grain is not similar to farina, although in some recipes they are used interchangeably.
