The fruit of the pomegranate tree, the size of an apple or orange, covered with a dense dark red skin. Inside are numerous seeds with juicy bright red flesh and small seeds. Rich in sugars, vitamin C, contains fiber, minerals and trace elements: calcium, magnesium, potassium, manganese, sodium. Pomegranate juice contains amino acids that are only present in meat. Pomegranate is consumed fresh, used to make juice, spicy and other sauces (for example, Narsharab), marinades, marmalade, pastila, used in preserving. The seeds are added to salads, soups, main courses, pastries and desserts, as well as for garnishing dishes. The weight of one pomegranate averages 250-350 grams.
