The duration of the process is conditioned by several factors: the toughness and freshness of the meat, products for marinating. If you don't have enough time, choose a more pronounced marinade. Or use various tricks. For example, when onion is cut into rings in the recipe, grate it on a grater. But remember that meat cannot be overexposed in this marinade, otherwise it will be bitter.

Marinating time depends on the type of meat:

Chicken meat. We recommend choosing thighs, as breast is tough. Thighs are marinated in just 2 hours.

Beef. Can be left for 4-5 hours at room temperature. If kept in the refrigerator, marinating will slow down, so it will take longer. In general, 10 hours will be sufficient. Marinating can last maximum 20 hours, otherwise the meat starts absorbing excess acid.

Pork. It's enough to keep it in marinade for 4-5 hours, but everything depends on the marinade. At the same time, it needs to be mixed periodically. If you want to reduce marinating time as much as possible, use the recipe with mayonnaise and onion.

Lamb. This meat needs to be marinated for 3-6 hours, it depends very much on its freshness, from which part of the animal it was taken and what age it was.
